Welcome to our newly revised website for the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of New Jersey. We
are part of a national organization that commemorates and preserves the colonial period in our nation’s
history.

As the pre-eminent New Jersey organization that brings colonial life to the attention of our citizens,
we take our task seriously. Founded in 1894, we have saved countless colonial buildings, manuscripts
and artifacts, so that future generations will have primary source material to review and study.

We do this with fellowship and the remembrance of our ancestors. It is though their daring that we
became Americans. Their courage in the face of incomprehensible odds inspires us even to this day.

Sincerely,

Robert Pond Vivian Jr.
